Version 0.4 public release
About the recent itch nsfw controversy:
I do not blame itch or anyone working at itch for the delisting of nsfw content.
Losing access to payment processors would probably cause the site to shut down all operations and a whole lot of people losing their jobs.
Did they overreact when delisting absolutely everything?
Maybe, but if Visa/Mastercard were willing to strong arm Valve to comply with their demands I would immagine they put even more pressure on smaller platforms.
In the end the situation sucks for everyone involved, hopefully this game complies with whatever new content guidelines they come up with and shows up on the site again.
Edit: I don't know if version 0.5 will be released here or somewhere else yet. Need to wait for itch to figure out how they want to handle nsfw content first.
Version 0.4:
The biggest gameplay change to this version is the removal of hunger as a mechanic, as a replacement the game now has a hidden timer on each floor. Once the timer hits 0 the game will start spawning elite versions of the regular monsters.
And as the timer progresses further enemies will spawn with extra strength and in larger numbers.
There is no timer on neutral floors though, there the player is free to take however long they want before progressing.
The timers do not reset when looping, but players also get to retain items and allies over to the next loop.
The slut saint statues have been reworked to be more scalable. They now require a donation of bits in exchange for a reward and are repeatable.
Call of Cunthulu now spawns spiked tentacles in an area around the player but no longer follows the player around.
For each time donating bits to a Cunthulu statue the area the spell covers grows and it spawns more tentacles.
Sedusa statues are now the only way of increasing the max value of the cum meter. Each bit donation raises the max value by 50.
The new jungle floor enemies/weapons have a few new gameplay mechanics added to them.
Panthermen will go invisible and attempt to get behind their targets, wielding the new claw weapon which automatically crits when attacking a target from behind.
Viper enemies have a new haste effect and can perform two actions per turn. They only wield a new low damage dagger weapon. But have a venomous bite attack and can be surprisingly deadly.
I ended up spending a little more time on this update than I would have liked.
The original plan was to have a new public update out every 2-3 months, which was
a bit optimistic. I'll try to not go over 4 months between updates going forward.
The game will now create log files in the user data directory.
On windows: %appdata%/Godot/app_userdata/HardStuck
On linux: ~/.local/share/godot/app_userdata/HardStuck
So check those if you're having issues with launching the game.
Also if the game is launched from the windows command line or linux terminal Godot will print out any error messages it encounters.
I've noticed on linux the issue is usually just some package that needs to be updated.

The payment processors broke a LOT of laws and it will take some time for governments to play catch-up, you shouldn't have to worry too much in the long run, this should really just a temporary thing so just look after yourself till then.
Its literally tortious interference.
Seen some other games adding the NSFW as an optional setting or the like to avoid de-listing. Thought it might be something worth looking into if it matters to you.
Thats awesome, either that or itch.io having a better NSFW filter in the system.
Asking a company to do work when they could just shut others down? non-sense lol
